Photography has been my passion and favorite hobby for many years. My journey began with a simple Smiena camera, which taught me the basics and gave me a feel for the analog world. In time, I moved on to a Zenit, well-known for its reliability—this is when I first started capturing images that reflected my everyday life and the world around me. Walking my dog, I photographed whatever caught my eye. Sometimes it wasn’t a picturesque landscape, but rather an ordinary scene that, through the lens, gained its own unique significance.

As my skills developed, I felt the need for more advanced gear. That’s when I discovered the Minolta 500 si and the Nikon F65—two solid analog cameras that allowed me to refine my techniques and broaden my creative horizons. Ultimately, I decided to embrace the digital era of photography, drawn by its flexibility and the immediacy of the results. Over the years, I experimented with various models, including the Fuji 5000 si, until I eventually settled on Nikon. I’ve always admired Nikon’s cameras for their high quality and excellent performance.

My first digital camera was the Nikon D50. It opened up a whole new world of possibilities, but after some time, I upgraded to the Nikon D300s, which served me reliably for many years. Eventually, I felt it was time to move on to a full-frame camera, and today I shoot primarily with the Nikon D610. This upgrade lets me capture the subtle interplay of light and shadow, vivid color gradations, and the unique atmosphere of each scene I encounter.

On my blog, you’ll find photos taken with a variety of equipment—everything from analog cameras to DSLRs, and even shots captured with a smartphone. In recent years, I’ve increasingly relied on the phone camera’s convenience. Being able to carry such a compact device in my pocket and quickly edit and upload images often beats hauling a heavy backpack of gear. Still, I enjoy experimenting with different setups and lenses to achieve varied results and discover new perspectives on familiar subjects.

The majority of the images you’ll see on my website are dedicated to Scottish landscapes, a source of endless inspiration. Scotland’s rugged coastlines, mist-shrouded hills, expansive moorlands, and mysterious lochs never cease to amaze me. Each year, I explore more of this country’s enchanting corners, visiting its many castles, each with a fascinating history and distinctive architectural charm. Beyond Scottish vistas, you’ll also find a selection of images from Poland and Croatia, reflecting the diverse places I’ve been fortunate enough to experience.

One of my long-term goals is to visit as many Scottish castles as possible. Their architecture, stories, and unique atmosphere perfectly embody the spirit of Scotland. Every trip to a new castle is an opportunity to broaden my knowledge and capture fresh images to share with my readers.

Photography is my way of stepping back from the everyday rush and stress. I often set out on long walks with my camera, searching for interesting subjects, moody scenes, and intriguing details. Each shot I take is a moment frozen in time—a memory I can revisit and share with others. By documenting these experiences, I hope to inspire travel, discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the world’s subtle beauty.
